وَعَن جابرٍ قَالَ: كُنَّا لَا نَأْكُلُ مِنْ لُحُومِ بُدْنِنَا فَوْقَ ثَلَاثٍ فَرَخَّصَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: «كُلُوا وَتَزَوَّدُوا» . فَأَكَلْنَا وتزودنا
On the authority of Jabir, he said: We used to not eat more than three portions of our own flesh, so the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, granted us permission and said: “Eat and provide for yourself.” So we ate and provided ourselves with food
