Hadith #49891
وَعَنْ سَعْدٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:
" إِنِّي أُحَرِّمُ مَا بَيْنَ لَابَتَيِ الْمَدِينَةِ: أَنْ يُقْطَعَ عِضَاهُهَا أَوْ يُقْتَلَ صَيْدُهَا " وَقَالَ: «الْمَدِينَةُ خَيْرٌ لَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُوا يعلَمونَ لَا يَدَعُهَا أَحَدٌ رَغْبَةً عَنْهَا إِلَّا أَبْدَلَ اللَّهُ فِيهَا مَنْ هُوَ خَيْرٌ مِنْهُ وَلَا يَثْبُتُ أَحَدٌ عَلَى لَأْوَائِهَا وَجَهْدِهَا إِلَّا كُنْتُ لَهُ شَفِيعًا أَو شَهِيدا يَوْم الْقِيَامَة» . رَوَاهُ مُسلم
On the authority of Saad, he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “I forbid what is between the two lions of Medina: lest their limbs be cut off or their game be killed.” And he said: “The city is better for them, if they knew. No one will leave it out of desire for it, unless God substitutes in it someone better than him.”
