Hadith #50223
On the authority of Saad bin Abi Waqqas, he said: I fell ill in the year of the conquest, and I was completely healed, so the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, came to visit me, and I said: O Messenger of God: I have a lot of wealth and no one is heir to me except my daughter. Should I bequeath all of my wealth? He said: “No.” I said: Two-thirds of my money? He said: “No.” I said: So the half? He said: “No.” I said: A third? He said: “One-third, and one-third is a lot. If you leave your heirs wealthy, it is better than if you leave them poor, begging people, and you will not spend.” An expenditure for which you seek the pleasure of God, unless you are rewarded for it until the morsel you raise to the Your wife
