Hadith #50288
وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَا: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «من وُلِدَ لَهُ وَلَدٌ فَلْيُحْسِنِ اسْمَهُ وَأَدَبَهُ فَإِذَا بَلَغَ فَلْيُزَوِّجْهُ فَإِنْ بَلَغَ وَلَمْ يُزَوِّجْهُ فَأَصَابَ إِثْمًا فَإِنَّمَا إثمه على أَبِيه»
On the authority of Abu Sa`id and Ibn Abbas, they said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Whoever has a son born to him, let him have a good name and good manners. When he reaches puberty, Then let him marry him, but if he reaches puberty and does not marry him, then he commits a sin, then his sin is on his father.”
