Hadith #50369
And on the authority of Safina: A man invited Ali ibn Abi Talib and prepared food for himself, and Fatima said: If only we had invited the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. So he ate with us, so they invited him, and he came and put his hands on the doorposts and saw that the stalk had been blown down in the direction of the house, so he returned. She said Fatima: So I followed him and said: O Messenger of God, what is your response? He said: “It is not for me or for any prophet to enter a decorated house.” Narrated by Ahmad and Ibn Majah
