وَعَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ طَعَامِ الْمُتَبَارِيَيْنِ أَنْ يُؤْكَلَ. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَقَالَ مُحْيِي السُّنَّةِ: وَالصَّحِيحُ أَنَّهُ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُرْسَلًا
On the authority of Ikrimah, on the authority of Ibn Abbas: The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, forbade the food of competing people from being eaten. Narrated by Abu Dawud, and Muhyi al-Sunnah said: What is correct is that it is on the authority of Ikrimah, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, as a mursal
