Hadith #50490
وَعَن عبد الله بن عَمْرو جَاءَهُ قَهْرَمَانٌ لَهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ: أَعْطَيْتَ الرَّقِيقَ قُوتَهُمْ؟ قَالَ: لَا قَالَ: فَانْطَلِقْ فَأَعْطِهِمْ فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «كَفَى بِالرَّجُلِ إِثْمًا أَنْ يَحْبِسَ عَمَّنْ يَمْلِكُ قُوتَهُ» . وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ: «كَفَى بِالْمَرْءِ إِثْمًا أَنْ يُضَيِّعَ مَنْ يَقُوتُ» . رَوَاهُ مُسلم
On the authority of Abdullah bin Amr, a ruler of his came to him and said to him: Did you give the slaves their food? He said: No. He said: So go and give it to them, for the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “It is enough sin for a man to withhold from someone who has his means.” . And in a narration: “It is enough sin for a man to waste someone who “He feeds.” Narrated by Muslim
