وَعَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ: كَانَتْ قِيمَةُ الدِّيَةِ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثَمَانِمِائَةِ دِينَارٍ أَوْ ثَمَانِيَةَ آلَافِ دِرْهَمٍ وَدِيَةُ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ يَوْمَئِذٍ النِّصْفُ مِنْ دِيَةِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ قَالَ: فَكَانَ كَذَلِكَ حَتَّى اسْتُخْلِفَ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنهُ عَلَى أَهْلِ الذَّهَبِ أَلْفَ دِينَارٍ وَعَلَى أَهْلِ الْوَرِقِ اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ أَلْفًا وَعَلَى أَهْلِ الْبَقَرِ مِائَتَيْ بَقَرَةٍ وَعَلَى أَهْلِ الشَّاءِ أَلْفَيْ شَاةٍ وَعَلَى أَهْلِ الْحُلَلِ مِائَتَيْ حُلَّةٍ قَالَ: وَتَرَكَ دِيَةَ أَهْلِ الذِّمَّةِ لَمْ يَرْفَعْهَا فِيمَا رَفَعَ من الدِّيَة. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد
On the authority of Amr bin Shuaib, on the authority of his father, on the authority of his grandfather, he said: The value of the blood money at the time of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was eight hundred dinars. Or eight thousand dirhams, the blood money for the People of the Book at that time, half of the blood money for the Muslims. He said: And it was like that until Omar was appointed successor. May God be pleased with him. The debt is one thousand dinars for the people with gold, the money for the people with paper is twelve thousand, the money for the people with cows is two hundred cows, and the money for the people with sheep is Two thousand sheep, and two hundred robes for the people of the family. He said: And he left the blood money for the non-Muslims, but he did not raise it for what he collected of the blood money. Narrated by Abu David
