وَعَنْهَا قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسلم: «ادرؤا الْحُدُودَ عَنِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ فَإِنْ كَانَ لَهُ مَخْرَجٌ فَخَلُّوا سَبِيلَهُ فَإِنَّ الْإِمَامَ أَنْ يُخْطِئَ فِي الْعَفْوِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَنْ يُخْطِئَ فِي الْعُقُوبَةِ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَقَالَ: قَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْهَا وَلم يرفع وَهُوَ أصح
On her authority, she said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Repel the punishments from the Muslims as much as you can, and if there is a way out for him, then let him go.” It is better for the imam to make a mistake in pardoning than to make a mistake in punishing.” It was narrated by Al-Tirmidhi and he said: It was narrated on her authority, but it was not reported, and it is More correct
