Hadith #50743
On the authority of Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Azhar, he said: It is as if I were looking at the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, when a man who had drunk alcohol was brought, and he said To the people: “Strike him.” Some of them hit him with sandals, some of them hit him with a stick, and some of them hit him with a cloak. Ibn Wahb said: It means the wet newspaper. Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, took dust from the ground and threw it in his face. Narrated by Abu Dawood
