وَعَن ابْن عمر أَنَّ عُمَرَ بَعَثَ جَيْشًا وَأَمَّرَ عَلَيْهِمْ رَجُلًا يُدْعَى سَارِيَةَ فَبَيْنَمَا عُمَرُ يَخْطُبُ فَجَعَلَ يَصِيحُ: يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ لَقِيَنَا عَدُوُّنَا فَهَزَمُونَا فَإِذَا بِصَائِحٍ يَصِيحُ: يَا سَارِيَ الْجَبَلَ. فَأَسْنَدْنَا ظُهُورَنَا إِلَى الْجَبَلِ فَهَزَمَهُمُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى
رَوَاهُ الْبَيْهَقِيُّ فِي دَلَائِل النُّبُوَّة
On the authority of Ibn Omar, that Omar sent an army and commanded over them a man called Sariah. While Omar was giving a sermon, he started shouting: O Commander of the Faithful, we have met our enemy. They defeated us, and then a shouter shouted: O you who walk the mountain! So we leaned our backs to the mountain, and God Almighty defeated them. It was narrated by Al-Bayhaqi on the evidence of prophecy
