Hadith #50840
وَعَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:
" إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى يَقُولُ: أَنَا اللَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنَا مَالِكُ الْمُلُوكِ وَمَلِكُ الْمُلُوكِ قُلُوبُ الْمُلُوكِ فِي يَدِي وَإِنَّ الْعِبَادَ إِذَا أَطَاعُونِي حَوَّلْتُ قُلُوبَ مُلُوكِهِمْ عَلَيْهِمْ بِالرَّحْمَةِ وَالرَّأْفَةِ وَإِنَّ الْعِبَادَ إِذَا عَصَوْنِي حَوَّلْتُ قُلُوبَهُمْ بِالسُّخْطَةِ وَالنِّقْمَةِ فَسَامُوهُمْ سُوءَ الْعَذَابِ فَلَا تَشْغَلُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ بِالدُّعَاءِ عَلَى الْمُلُوكِ وَلَكِنِ اشْغَلُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ بِالذِّكْرِ وَالتَّضَرُّعِ كَيْ أَكْفِيَكُمْ ملوكَكم «. رَوَاهُ أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ فِي» الْحِلْيَةِ "
On the authority of Abu al-Darda’, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Indeed, God Almighty says: I am God, there is no god but I, the Owner of kings and the King of Kings The hearts of kings are in My hand, and if my servants obey Me, I will turn the hearts of their kings toward them with mercy. And compassion. And if my servants disobey Me, I will transform their hearts with anger and vengeance, and I will inflict upon them an evil torment, so do not worry yourselves. By supplicating for the kings, but occupy yourselves with remembrance and supplication, so that I may suffice for your kings.” Narrated by Abu Nuaym in “Al-Hilyah”
