Hadith #50847
On the authority of Amr ibn Murrah that he said to Muawiyah: I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, say: “Whoever God has entrusted with any of the affairs of the Muslims So he concealed himself in spite of their need, loneliness, and poverty. God concealed himself in spite of their need, loneliness, and poverty. So he made Muawiyah a man over People's needs. Narrated by Abu Dawud and Al-Tirmidhi, and in a narration by him and Ahmad: “God closed the gates of heaven for him without his privacy, his need, and his dwelling place.”
