Hadith #50848
On the authority of Abu al-Shamakh al-Azdi, on the authority of a cousin of his who was one of the Companions of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, that he came to Muawiyah and entered upon him and said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, says: “Whoever takes charge of people’s affairs and then closes his door to the exclusion of Muslims or “For the oppressed person or the one in need, God has closed the doors of His mercy on him when he is in need and is in need, the poorest thing ever for him.”
