وَعَن عبدِ الله بنِ حُبَشيٍّ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ أَيُّ الْأَعْمَالِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ: «طُولُ الْقِيَامِ» قِيلَ: فَأَيُّ الصَّدَقَةِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ: «جُهْدُ الْمُقِلِّ» قِيلَ: فَأَيُّ الْهِجْرَةِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ: «مَنْ هَجَرَ مَا حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ» قِيلَ: فَأَيُّ الْجِهَادِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ: «مَنْ جَاهَدَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ بِمَالِهِ وَنَفْسِهِ» . قِيلَ: فَأَيُّ الْقَتْلِ أَشْرَفُ؟ قَالَ: «مَنْ أُهْرِيقَ دَمُهُ وَعُقِرَ جَوَادُهُ» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَفِي رِوَايَةِ للنسائي: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ: أيُّ الأعمالِ أفضلُ؟ قَالَ: «إِيمانٌ لَا شكَّ فِيهِ وَجِهَادٌ لَا غُلُولَ فِيهِ وَحَجَّةٌ مَبْرُورَةٌ» . قِيلَ: فَأَيُّ الصَّلَاةِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ: «طُولُ الْقُنُوتِ» . ثمَّ اتفقَا فِي الْبَاقِي
On the authority of Abdullah bin Habashi: The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, was asked which deeds are best? He said: “Long standing.” It was said: Which charity is better? He said: “The effort of al-Muql.” It was said: Which migration is best? He said: “Whoever abandons what God has forbidden to him.” It was said: Which jihad is best? He said: “He who strives against the polytheists with his wealth and his life.” It was said: Which killing is more honorable? He said: “Whose blood is spilled and whose horse is maimed.” Narrated by Abu Dawud, and in an Al-Nasa’i narration: The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, was asked: Which deeds are best? He said: “Faith in which there is no doubt, jihad in which there is no falsehood, and proof. “Excused.” It was said: Which prayer is best? He said: “The length of Qunoot.” Then they agreed on the rest
