Hadith #50953
وَعَن أبي مالكٍ الأشعريّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «مَنْ فَصَلَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَمَاتَ أَوْ قُتِلَ أَوْ وَقَصَهُ فَرَسُهُ أَوْ بَعِيرُهُ أَوْ لَدْغَتْهُ هَامَّةٌ أَو مَاتَ فِي فِرَاشِهِ بِأَيِّ حَتْفٍ شَاءَ اللَّهُ فَإِنَّهُ شَهِيدٌ وَإِن لَهُ الْجنَّة» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد
On the authority of Abu Malik Al-Ash’ari, he said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, saying: “Whoever fights in the path of God and dies or is killed or is mown down by his horse or his camel.” Or he is bitten by a large animal, or he dies in his bed, by whatever death God wills, then he is a martyr, and indeed Paradise will be his.
