Mishkat al-Masabih — Hadith #51075

On his authority, he said: We invaded Hawazin with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, while we were sacrificing with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, when he came. A man was riding a red camel, so he made it look and looked, while among us there was weakness and tenderness in the back, and some of us were walking. When he went out, it became hard. Then his camel came and stirred it, and the camel was strengthened by it, so I went out, strengthening myself until I took hold of the camel’s snout and bit it off. Then I drew my sword and struck it on the head. The man, then I brought the camel, leading it, with its saddle and weapons on it, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and the people received me. He said: “Who killed the man?” They said: Ibn Al-Akwa’, and he said: “All of his plunder belongs to him.”
