Hadith #51101
وَعَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ هُرْمُزَ قَالَ: كَتَبَ نَجْدَةُ الْحَرُورِيُّ إِلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ يَسْأَلُهُ عَنِ الْعَبْدِ وَالْمَرْأَة يحْضرَانِ لمغنم هلْ يُقسَمُ لَهما؟ فَقَالَ ليزيدَ: اكْتُبْ إِلَيْهِ أَنَّهُ لَيْسَ لَهُمَا سَهْمٌ إِلَّا أَنْ يُحْذَيَا. وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ: كَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: إِنَّكَ كَتَبْتَ إِلَيَّ تَسْأَلُنِي: هَلْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَغْزُو بِالنِّسَاءِ؟ وَهَلْ كَانَ يَضْرِبُ لَهُنَّ بِسَهْمٍ؟ فَقَدْ كَانَ يَغْزُو بِهِنَّ يُدَاوِينَ الْمَرْضَى وَيُحْذَيْنَ مِنَ الْغَنِيمَةِ وَأَمَّا السَّهْمُ فَلَمْ يَضْرِبْ لَهُنَّ بِسَهْمٍ. رَوَاهُ مُسلم
On the authority of Yazid bin Hurmuz, he said: Najda al-Haruri wrote to Ibn Abbas asking him about a male and female slave who brought spoils, should it be divided among them? So he said to Yazid: Write to him that they have no share except that they should be paid. And in a narration: Ibn Abbas wrote to him: You wrote to me asking me: Did the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, go out with women? Did he shoot them with an arrow? He used them to go to war, treating the sick and taking some of the spoils, but as for the arrow, not a single arrow struck them. Narrated by Muslim
