وَعَنِ الْقَاسِمِ مَوْلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: كنَّا نأكلُ الجَزورَ فِي الغزْوِ وَلَا نُقَسِّمُهُ حَتَّى إِذَا كُنَّا لَنَرْجِعُ إِلَى رِحَالِنَا وأخْرِجَتُنا مِنْهُ مَمْلُوءَة. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد
On the authority of Al-Qasim, the client of Abdul-Rahman, on the authority of some of the companions of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, he said: We used to eat carrots during the battle and would not divide them even if we were Let us return to our journeys, and you brought us out of it full.
