وَعَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أَلَا أُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِخَيْرِ أَعْمَالِكُمْ وَأَزْكَاهَا عِنْدَ مَلِيكِكُمْ؟ وَأَرْفَعِهَا فِي دَرَجَاتِكُمْ؟ وَخَيْرٍ لَكُمْ مِنْ إِنْفَاقِ الذهبِ والوَرِقِ؟ وخيرٍ لكم مِنْ أَنْ تَلْقَوْا عَدُوَّكُمْ فَتَضْرِبُوا أَعْنَاقَهُمْ وَيَضْرِبُوا أَعْنَاقَكُمْ؟» قَالُوا: بَلَى قَالَ: «ذِكْرُ اللَّهِ» . رَوَاهُ مَالِكٌ وَأَحْمَدُ وَالتِّرْمِذِيُّ وَابْنُ مَاجَهْ إِلَّا أَنَّ مَالِكًا وَقفه على أبي الدَّرْدَاء
On the authority of Abu al-Darda’, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Shall I not inform you of the best of your deeds and the purest of them when Your king? And raise it in your ranks? Is it better for you than spending gold and paper? It is better for you than to meet your enemy and strike. Their necks and strike your necks? They said: Yes. He said: “Remembrance of God.” It was narrated by Malik, Ahmad, al-Tirmidhi, and Ibn Majah, except that Malik attributed it to Abu al-Darda’.
