Hadith #51980
On the authority of Ibn Abbas: (The heart did not lie about what it saw. . . but it saw it as another incident.) He said: He saw it with his heart twice. It was narrated by Muslim, and in a narration by Al-Tirmidhi, he said: Muhammad saw his Lord. Ikrimah said: I said: Doesn’t God say: (Sights do not overtake Him, while He overtakes sight)? He said: Woe to you when it appears By His light, which is His light, and He has seen His Lord twice.
