On the authority of Ibn Abbas - may God be pleased with them both - he said when this verse was revealed: “And whether you disperse what is within yourselves or fear it, God will call you to account therein.” He said: Nothing entered their hearts from it, and nothing entered their hearts. So the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Say, ‘We hear, we obey, and we submit.’” He said: So he delivered God has faith in their hearts, so God Almighty revealed: “God does not burden a soul except within its capacity; for it is what it has earned, and upon it is what “What you have earned, our Lord, do not punish us if we forget or make a mistake.” He said: “I have done so.” “Our Lord, do not burden us with any wrongdoing.” Just as You laid it upon those of “We have accepted” (He said: “I have done it”) “And forgive us and have mercy on us, You are our master” (Al-Baqarah: 286). “He said: I have done it” (Muslim) Sahih

On the authority of Abd al-Rahman bin Awf (he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, went out, and I followed him until he entered a palm tree, and he prostrated and prolonged his prostration until I became afraid, or feared. That God had taken him to death or taken him.
