قال: ‌قال ‌رسول ‌الله ‌صلى الله عليه وسلم: إذا طبختم طعاماً فزيدوا عليه ماءً وتذكروا جاركم. (أي: تذكروا دائماً وحرصوا على مشاركته مع جاركم). [1575]
He ‌said: ‌The ‌Messenger ‌of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: When you cook a dish, add more water to it and be mindful of your neighbor. (i.e., always be mindful and careful about sharing it with your neighbor.) [1575]

وقال ​إن ‌رجلاً ​من ‌الأنصار تشاجر مع الزبير عند النبي (ص) في ماء نهر هرر الذي كان يسقي به النخل. فقال الأنصاري: اترك ماء القناة حتى يسيل فأبى جبير أن يعطيه. فلما تشاجرا في ذلك عند النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم للزبير: يا زبير! اروي أرضك (أولاً). بعد ذلك أطلق الماء لجارك. فغضب الأنصاري من ذلك وقال: هو ابن عمك. فظهرت علامات السخط على وجه رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم. ثم قال: يا يبير! أنت تسقي أرضك بنفسك ثم تحبس الماء حتى يصل إلى السد. (البخاري جزء 42 باب 6 حديث رقم 2359 ؛ مسلم 43/36 ه 2357)
He ​said ‌that ​an ‌Ansari quarreled with Zubair (RA) in front of the Prophet (PBUH) about the water of Harar's canal which used to irrigate date gardens. Ansari said, Leave the water of the canal, so that it (flows) but Jubair (RA) refused to give it. When the two of them got into a debate about this before the Prophet (peace be upon him), the Messenger of God (peace be upon him) said to Zubair (RA), O Zubair! Irrigate your land (first). After that Release the water to your neighbor. Ansari was displeased with this and said, he is your cousin. This showed signs of displeasure on the face of Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him). عن ​عَبْدِ ‌اللهِ ​قَالَ ‌قَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَىُّ الذَّنْبِ أَكْبَرُ عِنْدَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ أَنْ تَدْعُوَ لِلهِ نِدًّا وَهُوَ خَلَقَكَ قَالَ ثُمَّ أَىٌّ قَالَ أَنْ تَقْتُلَ وَلَدَكَ مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يَطْعَمَ مَعَكَ قَالَ ثُمَّ أَىٌّ قَالَ أَنْ تُزَانِىَ حَلِيلَةَ جَارِكَ গ্ধ فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ تَصْدِيقَهَا وَالَّذِينَ لاَ يَدْعُونَ مَعَ اللهِ إِلَهًا آخَرَ وَلاَ يَقْتُلُونَ النَّفْسَ الَّتِى حَرَّمَ اللهُ إِلاَّ بِالْحَقِّ وَلاَ يَزْنُونَ وَمَنْ يَفْعَلْ ذَلِكَ يَلْقَ أَثَامًا
On ​the ‌authority ​of ‌Abdullah, he said: A man said, O Messenger of God, which sin is the greatest in the sight of God? He said: That you call upon a rival to God while He created you. He said: Then what? He said: That you kill your son for fear that he will feed with you. He said: Then what? He said: Your neighbor's wife commits adultery, so God Almighty revealed her belief and those who They shall not call upon any other god with God, nor shall they kill any soul which God has forbidden, except in a just manner, nor shall they commit adultery. And whoever does that shall incur sins.

A ‌man ​said ‌to ​the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), “How will I know whether I have done good or evil?” The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “When you hear your neighbor saying that you have done a good deed, Then you have done (really) well.
