Bulugh al-Maram — Hadith #37928

Hadith #37928
He said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: A strong believer with a firm heart is better and more beloved to Allah than a weak believer with a weak body and a weak mind. But in each of them there is good (in faith). So strive for what is beneficial for you and seek help from Allah, and do not feel weak. And if a calamity befalls you, do not say, ‘If I had done so and so, I would have done so.’ Rather, say, ‘This was ordained by Allah, Allah has done what He willed.’ For the word ‘if’ opens the way for the work of Satan.’ (i.e., the weakness of faith that comes from not accepting Allah’s decision wholeheartedly allows Satan to exert his influence.)
