حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ تَوْبَةَ الْعَنْبَرِيِّ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَوَّارٍ الْقَاضِيَ، يَقُولُ عَنْ أَبِي بَرْزَةَ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ، قَالَ أَغْلَظَ رَجُلٌ لِأَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ فَقَالَ أَبُو بَرْزَةَ أَلَا أَضْرِبُ عُنُقَهُ قَالَ فَانْتَهَرَهُ وَقَالَ مَا هِيَ لِأَحَدٍ بَعْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
Muhammad ibn Jaafar told us, Shu`bah told us, about Al-Anbari’s repentance, he said, I heard Abu Sawwar Al-Qadi, saying on the authority of Abu Barza Al-Aslami, the harshest man said to Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, may God be pleased with him. He said, “Abu Barzah said, ‘Should I not behead him?’ He rebuked him and said, What It is for anyone after the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.
