حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي زُهَيْرٍ، قَالَ أُخْبِرْتُ أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ الصَّلَاحُ بَعْدَ هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ {لَيْسَ بِأَمَانِيِّكُمْ وَلَا أَمَانِيِّ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ مَنْ يَعْمَلْ سُوءًا يُجْزَ بِهِ} فَكُلَّ سُوءٍ عَمِلْنَا جُزِينَا بِهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَكَ يَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ أَلَسْتَ تَمْرَضُ أَلَسْتَ تَنْصَبُ أَلَسْتَ تَحْزَنُ أَلَسْتَ تُصِيبُكَ اللَّأْوَاءُ قَالَ بَلَى قَالَ فَهُوَ مَا تُجْزَوْنَ بِهِ.
Abdullah bin Numayr told us, he said, Ismail told us, on the authority of Abu Bakr bin Abi Zuhair, he said, I was informed that Abu Bakr said, O Messenger By God, how can righteousness be done after this verse {It is not your wishes, nor the hopes of the People of the Book. Whoever does evil will be rewarded for it}, for all evil We are rewarded for our deeds, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “May God forgive you, Abu Bakr. Are you not getting sick? Are you falling asleep? Are you not sad? Are you not Troubles will afflict you. He said, “Yes.” He said, “It is what you will be rewarded for.”
