حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، أَنَّ عَطَاءَ بْنَ يَسَارٍ، أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ، سَأَلَ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قُلْتُ أَرَأَيْتَ إِذَا جَامَعَ الرَّجُلُ امْرَأَتَهُ وَلَمْ يُمْنِ فَقَالَ عُثْمَانُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَتَوَضَّأُ كَمَا يَتَوَضَّأُ لِلصَّلَاةِ وَيَغْسِلُ ذَكَرَهُ قَالَ وَقَالَ عُثْمَانُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسَأَلْتُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ وَالزُّبَيْرَ وَطَلْحَةَ وَأُبَيَّ بْنَ كَعْبٍ فَأَمَرُوهُ بِذَلِكَ.
Hassan bin Musa told us, Shayban told us, on the authority of Yahya bin Abi Kathir, on the authority of Abu Salamah, that Ata bin Yasar told him on the authority of Zaid bin Khaled Al-Juhani told him that he asked Othman bin Affan, may God be pleased with him. He said, “What do you think if a man had intercourse with his wife and did not Othman, may God be pleased with him, said, “He should perform ablution as he does for prayer, and he should wash his penis.” He said, “Othman, may God be pleased with him, said, I heard it from The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, so I asked Ali bin Abi Talib, Al-Zubayr, Talha, and Ubayy bin Ka’b about that, and they ordered him to do so.
