Affan told us, Abd al-Warith told us, Ayyub ibn Musa told us, Nabih ibn Wahb told me, that Omar ibn Ubayd Allah ibn Muammar, had conjunctivitis. He got his eye while he was in ihram and wanted to bandage it with kohl, but Aban bin Uthman, may God be pleased with him, forbade him and ordered him to bandage it with patience. He claimed that Othman, may God be pleased with him, narrated on the authority of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, that he did that.
