Hadith #45045
Abdullah told us, he said: Qutayba bin Saeed wrote to me, I wrote to you in my own writing, and I sealed the letter with my seal, mentioning that Al-Layth bin Sa’d He narrated to them on the authority of Aqeel, on the authority of Al-Zuhri, on the authority of Ali bin Al-Hussein, that Al-Hussein bin Ali narrated to him on the authority of Ali bin Abi Talib, may God be pleased with him. On the authority of him, the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, went to him and Fatima, may God be pleased with her, and said, “Won’t you pray?” So I said, “O Messenger of God, our lives are only in the hands of God.” If he wishes to send us, he will send us and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, has departed while I told him that. Then I heard him as he was turning away, hitting his thigh and saying, “And man is the most argumentative.”
