حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُطَرِّفٌ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُوتِرُ فِي أَوَّلِ اللَّيْلِ وَفِي وَسَطِهِ وَفِي آخِرِهِ ثُمَّ ثَبَتَ لَهُ الْوَتْرُ فِي آخِرِهِ.
Muhammad bin Fudayl told us, Mutarrif told us, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, on the authority of Asim, on the authority of Ali, may God be pleased with him, who said that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was He performed the Witr prayer at the beginning of the night, in the middle, and at the end of the night, and then performed the Witr prayer at the end of it.
