Hadith #45117
Marwan bin Muawiyah Al-Fazari told us, Al-Azhar bin Rashid Al-Kahili told us, on the authority of Al-Khidr bin Al-Qawwas, on the authority of Abu Sukhaila, he said Ali, may God be pleased with him, said: Shall I not tell you the best verse in the Book of God Almighty that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, narrated to us? {Whatever calamity befalls you, it is because of what your hands have earned, and He pardons many} And I will explain it to you, O Ali, whatever illness has befallen you. Or punishment or affliction in this world, then because of what your hands have earned. And God Almighty is too generous to praise them. Punishment in the Hereafter and what He pardons. God Almighty is more exalted than him in this world, for God Almighty is more forgiving than that he will return after his pardon.
