حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ، قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ وَسَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا مِنْ، مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا، عَنْ كَثِيرٍ النَّوَّاءِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُلَيْلٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لَيْسَ مِنْ نَبِيٍّ كَانَ قَبْلِي إِلَّا قَدْ أُعْطِيَ سَبْعَةَ نُقَبَاءَ وُزَرَاءَ نُجَبَاءَ وَإِنِّي أُعْطِيتُ أَرْبَعَةَ عَشَرَ وَزِيرًا نَقِيبًا نَجِيبًا سَبْعَةً مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ وَسَبْعَةً مِنْ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ.
Muhammad ibn al-Sabbah narrated to us, Abdullah said, and I heard it from, Muhammad ibn al-Sabah narrated to us, Ismail ibn Zakaria narrated to us, on the authority of Kathir al-Nawa’, on the authority of Abdullah bin Malil, he said, I heard Ali, may God be pleased with him, saying, I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. He says, “There is no prophet before me who was not given seven leaders and noble ministers, and I have given fourteen noble and distinguished ministers, seven of them.” Quraysh and seven emigrants
