Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #45152

Aswad told us, Sharik told us, on the authority of Musa al-Saghir, the miller, on the authority of Mujahid, he said, Ali said, I went out and came to a wall, he said, and he said, a bucket of dates. He said, “I drank until my palms were full, then I came to the water and I sought fresh water,” meaning I drank, then I came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. He greeted, so I fed him some of it and I ate some of it.
