Hadith #45181
حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ، وَالْمُجَالِدُ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، أَنَّهُمَا سَمِعَاهُ يُحَدِّثُ، أَنَّ عَلِيًّا، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ حِينَ رَجَمَ الْمَرْأَةَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكُوفَةِ ضَرَبَهَا يَوْمَ الْخَمِيسِ وَرَجَمَهَا يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَقَالَ أَجْلِدُهَا بِكِتَابِ اللَّهِ وَأَرْجُمُهَا بِسُنَّةِ نَبِيِّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
Hussein bin Muhammad told us, Shu’bah told us, on the authority of Salamah, and Al-Mujalid, on the authority of Al-Sha’bi, that they heard him speaking, that Ali, may God be pleased with him When he stoned a woman from the people of Kufa, he beat her on a Thursday and stoned her on a Friday and said, “Flog her with the Book of God.” And I stone her according to the Sunnah of the Prophet of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.
