Hadith #45220
Muhammad bin Ja`far told us, Shu`bah told us, on the authority of Qatada, he said: Abdullah bin Shaqiq said: Uthman, may God be pleased with him, forbade Mut’ah, and Ali, may God be pleased with him, ordered it. Uthman said to Ali, “You are such-and-such.” Then Ali, may God be pleased with him, said, “You have learned.” We had fun with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he said yes, but we were afraid.
