Hadith #44784
Abdul Razzaq told us, Al-Thawri told us, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, on the authority of Amr ibn Maymun, he said: I heard Omar ibn Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him. He says: The people of pre-Islamic times would not leave from a crowd until they saw the sun over Thabeer, and they used to say, “Thabeer has risen, so that we may change.” So the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, spoke before sunrise.
