Hadith #45308
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ الْمُعْتَمِرِ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ الْأَعْوَرِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَوْ كُنْتُ مُؤَمِّرًا أَحَدًا مِنْ أُمَّتِي مِنْ غَيْرِ مَشُورَةٍ لَأَمَّرْتُ عَلَيْهِمْ ابْنَ أُمِّ عَبْدٍ.
Musa bin Dawud narrated to us, Zuhayr narrated to us, on the authority of Mansour bin Al-Mu’tamir, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, on the authority of Al-Harith Al-A’war, on the authority of Ali, he said, he said The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, if I were to appoint anyone from my nation as commander, without consultation, I would have appointed Ibn Umm Abd over them.
