Hadith #45313
حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا مَنْصُورُ بْنُ الْمُعْتَمِرِ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَوْ كُنْتُ مُؤَمِّرًا أَحَدًا مِنْ أُمَّتِي عَنْ غَيْرِ مَشُورَةٍ مِنْهُمْ لَأَمَّرْتُ عَلَيْهِمْ ابْنَ أُمِّ عَبْدٍ.
Hassan bin Musa narrated to us, Zuhayr narrated to us, Mansour bin Al-Mu’tamir narrated to us, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, on the authority of Al-Harith, on the authority of Ali, the Messenger of God said, God, may God bless him and grant him peace, if I were to appoint anyone from my nation without consulting them, I would have appointed Ibn Umm Abd over them.
