حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلِّمْنِي دُعَاءً أَدْعُو بِهِ فِي صَلَاتِي قَالَ قُلْ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي ظُلْمًا كَثِيرًا وَلَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَغْفِرَةً مِنْ عِنْدِكَ وَارْحَمْنِي إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ‏.‏
Hajjaj told us, he said, Laith told us, he said, Yazid bin Abi Habib told me, on the authority of Abu Al-Khair, on the authority of Abdullah bin Amr bin Al-Aas, on the authority of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, may God be pleased with him, said to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, “Teach me a supplication that I may pray with in my prayer.” He said, “Say.” Oh God, I have wronged myself greatly and no one can forgive sins except You, so grant me forgiveness from You and have mercy on me, for You are the Forgiving. The Most Merciful
