حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ، حَدَّثَنِي رَجُلٌ، مِنْ عَنَزَةَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ، مِنْ بَنِي أَسَدٍ قَالَ خَرَجَ عَلِيٌّ حِينَ ثَوَّبَ الْمُثَوِّبُ لِصَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ فَقَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَنَا بِوِتْرٍ فَثَبَتَ لَهُ هَذِهِ السَّاعَةَ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَقِمْ يَا ابْنَ النَّوَّاحَةِ‏.‏
Muhammad ibn Ja`far narrated to us, Shu`bah narrated to us, on the authority of Abu al-Tayyah, a man narrated to me, from Anza, on the authority of a man, from Banu Asad, who said: When Ali revolted against me He put on a garment for the morning prayer and said, “The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, ordered us to put on a wig and it was fixed for him at this hour.” Then He said, “Stand up, O son of wailing.”
