حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ، سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ أَبِي الْهُذَيْلِ الْعَنَزَيَّ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ رَجُلٍ، مِنْ بَنِي أَسَدٍ قَالَ خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَ حَدِيثِ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ كُنْتُ عِنْدَ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ وَهُوَ مُسَجًّى فِي ثَوْبِهِ.
Aswad bin Amir narrated to us, Shu’bah narrated to us, on the authority of Abu Al-Tayyah, I heard Abdullah bin Abi Al-Hudhayl Al-Anazi, narrating on the authority of a man, from Bani Asad said: Ali, may God be pleased with him, came out against us and mentioned something similar to the hadith of Suwayd bin Saeed. I was with Omar, may God be pleased with him, while he was Lying in his clothes...
