حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ بَحْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ، قَالَ أَبِي سَمِعْتُهُ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي خَلِيفَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ رَفِيقٌ يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ وَيُعْطِي عَلَى الرِّفْقِ مَا لَا يُعْطِي عَلَى الْعُنْفِ.
Ali bin Bahr told us, Abdullah bin Ibrahim bin Omar bin Kaysan told us, my father said, I heard him speaking, on the authority of Abdullah bin Wahb, On the authority of his father, on the authority of Abu Khalifa, on the authority of Ali bin Abi Talib, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: God is gentle and loves gentleness, and He gives for gentleness what He does not give for violence.
