Hadith #45402
Ishaq bin Yusuf narrated to us, on the authority of Sharik, on the authority of Al-Suddi, on the authority of Abd Khair, who said: I saw Ali, may God be pleased with him, calling for water to perform ablution, and he wiped with it. He wiped over the backs of his feet, then said, “This is the ablution of one who did not perform it.” Then he said, “If I had not seen the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.” He, peace and blessings be upon him, wiped the backs of his feet. I saw that their stomachs were more deserving. Then he drank the remainder of his ablution while standing. Then he said, “Where are those who claim?” No one should drink while standing.
