حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى، عَنْ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ غَفَلَةَ، قَالَ رَأَيْتُ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يُقَبِّلُ الْحَجَرَ وَيَقُولُ إِنِّي لَأَعْلَمُ أَنَّكَ حَجَرٌ لَا تَضُرُّ وَلَا تَنْفَعُ وَلَكِنِّي رَأَيْتُ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِكَ حَفِيًّا‏.‏
Abd al-Rahman told us, on the authority of Sufyan, on the authority of Ibrahim ibn Abd al-Ala, on the authority of Suwayd ibn Ghafla, he said, I saw Omar, may God be pleased with him, kissing The stone and he says, “I know that you are a stone that does no harm or benefit, but I saw Abu Al-Qasim, may God bless him and grant him peace, with you.” Barely
