حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الشَّعْثَاءِ، عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ، سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمَكِّيِّ، عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ، قَالَ سُئِلَ عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ صِفَةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ لَا قَصِيرٌ وَلَا طَوِيلٌ مُشْرَبًا لَوْنُهُ حُمْرَةً حَسَنَ الشَّعَرِ رَجِلَهُ ضَخْمَ الْكَرَادِيسِ شَثْنَ الْكَفَّيْنِ ضَخْمَ الْهَامَةِ طَوِيلَ الْمَسْرُبَةِ إِذَا مَشَى تَكَفَّأَ كَأَنَّمَا يَنْحَدِرُ مِنْ صَبَبٍ لَمْ أَرَ مِثْلَهُ قَبْلَهُ وَلَا بَعْدَهُ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
Abdullah narrated to us, Abu Al-Sha’a’a narrated to me, Ali bin Al-Hasan bin Sulayman narrated to us, Abu Khaled Al-Ahmar narrated to us, Sulayman bin Hayyan narrated to us, on the authority of Hajjaj, On the authority of Uthman, on the authority of Abu Abdullah al-Makki, on the authority of Nafi’ ibn Jubayr ibn Mut’im, he said: Ali, may God be pleased with him, was asked about the characteristic of The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “Neither is he short nor tall, his color is red, his hair is beautiful, his feet are large, his collars are wide, his palms are large.” Al-Hamah, Tall Al-Masrabah, when he walked, he leaned back as if he was descending from a stream, the likes of which I had never seen before or after him, may God bless him and grant him peace. May peace and blessings be upon him
