Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #45405

Abdullah told us, Suraij bin Yunus told me, Yahya bin Saeed Al-Umawi told us, on the authority of Ibn Jurayj, on the authority of Salih bin Saeed, or Saeed. On the authority of Nafi’ bin Jubayr bin Mut’im, on the authority of Ali, may God be pleased with him, who said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was neither short nor tall. He has a large head, a large beard, a reddish complexion, and a long robe, with large ankles, with bent palms and feet, when he walks, he is shod. It was as if he was descending in a rainstorm the likes of which I had never seen before or after him, may God bless him and grant him peace.
