Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #45426

Ibn al-Ashja`i told us, my father told us, on the authority of Sufyan, on the authority of al-Suddi, on the authority of Abd Khair, on the authority of Ali, may God be pleased with him, that he called for a cup of Water, then he said, “Where are these people who claim that they hate drinking while standing?” He said, “So he took it and drank while standing, then he performed ablution.” He lightly wiped his shoes, then said, “This is the ablution of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, for the pure person, unless it was done.”
