Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #44704

Abu Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, Sa`id bin Abi Ayyub narrated to me, Ata bin Dinar narrated to me, on the authority of Hakim bin Sharik al-Hudhali, on the authority of Yahya Ibn Maymun Al-Hadrami, on the authority of Rabi’ah Al-Jurashi, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, on the authority of Omar Ibn Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him, on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace He, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Do not sit with the people of destiny, and do not approach them.” Abu Abd al-Rahman once said, “I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.”
