Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #45443

Muhammad ibn Ja`far narrated to us, Shu`bah narrated to us, on the authority of Amr ibn Murrah, on the authority of Abu al-Bakhtari, on the authority of Abu Abd al-Rahman al-Sulami, on the authority of Ali, May God be pleased with him. He said: If you narrated a hadith on the authority of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, then think of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. He greeted him, feared him, and guided him, and Ali came out to us when the one who was wearing the garment put on his garment and said, “Where is the one who asked about this witr when he got a good witr?”
