Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #44776

Ismail told us, Salamah bin Alqamah told us, on the authority of Muhammad bin Sirin, he said, I was informed on the authority of Abu Al-Ajfa Al-Sulami, he said, I heard Omar saying, Do not exaggerate women's charity. Do not exaggerate women's charity, for if they were honorable in this world or strengthened in the sight of God The one of you most responsible for it was the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, did not believe any of his wives, nor did any woman believe in it. of his daughters more than twelve uqiyahs, and that a man will be tested by his wife’s charity. He once said, “and that a man So that he would make his wife’s charity so intense that she would have enmity towards him, and so that he would say, “I entrusted you with a bag of water.” He said, “And you were a young man of Arab birth.” I do not know what attached to the bag. He said, “And another thing you say about those who were killed in your battles and died. So-and-so was killed as a martyr and so-and-so died as a martyr.” Perhaps he had saddled the mount of his animal or brought gold or paper for his mount, seeking trade. Do not say that, but say as it is. The Prophet said, or as Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: Whoever is killed or dies in the path of God will be in Paradise.
